Across Uganda, millions of children are eager to learn but cannot attend school for one reason: no one can pay the fees. The Ugandan Children Hope Initiative changes that for one student at a time.
Where we are today
Connecting supporters with students who deserve the chance
Fr. Adrian Kyambadde works directly with schools in Uganda to identify children whose families cannot cover school fees. Our first four students were chosen that way. As the mission grows, we add more.
When a child stays in school, everything changes.
Sponsorship is not charity handed down from a distance. It is a connection between someone here who can help and a child there who is ready to learn. Gifts of every size are pooled and put to work; you do not have to fund a whole year to make a difference.
How it works
Fr. Adrian identifies students
Working with local schools, he finds children who want to be in class and cannot afford to be. He knows the families and the schools.
You give through the Foundation
Gifts go to The Catholic Foundation, which holds the Ugandan Children Hope Fund, issues your receipt, and sends your acknowledgement.
Fees are paid, and school continues
The fund covers school fees so a child stays enrolled. We report back on how the students are doing.
